Inspect and ensure the cleanliness of all guestrooms

  • Learn housekeeping computer system, with the ability to print and assign rooms to room attendants

  • Assist in inventory controls

  • Answer office phone in a professional and courteous manner

  • Assist with special cleaning projects when needed

  • Clean guestrooms when needed (see room attendant job description)

  • Maintain supplies and equipment in Linen rooms

  • Inspect and clean VIP rooms

  • Assist all supervisors in projects

  • Assist in the training of new room attendants and housepersons

  • Punches in and reports to the Executive Housekeeper and/or Assistant Executive Housekeeper on time and in full uniform for each shift

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the executive Housekeeper or the Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of experience in housekeeping as a room attendant or houseperson

  • Previous experience as a supervisor preferred but not necessary

  • High school diploma or equivalent

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The position is indoors, and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and chemicals. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
