To ring up sales for customers.
Obtain and verify bank and open register.
Request change order if needed.
Assist customers in selection of merchandise.
Respond to guests’ needs and relay comments to supervisor.
Collect and process cash/charges using computerized POS System.
Check in, inspect and tag new merchandise.
Restock merchandise.
Close out POS System; count bank, balance and return.
Display merchandise in shop and shop windows.
Gift wrap packages as needed.
Take monthly inventory.
List merchandise to be ordered.
Vacuum, dust and straighten shop.
Move racks as needed.
Hang, ticket and steam clothes.
Maintain store supplies, i.e., register paper, bags, etc. and put request into manager and/or supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Retail Supervisor and/or Manager.

Must be at least 18 years or older
Previous retail experience preferred, but not necessary
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The position is indoors; and is exposed to hot and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
