To assist incoming guests with tee time and golf gift shop purchases.

  • Greet the guests at the Golf Shop counter

  • Book tee times, and take greens fees

  • Sell merchandise, food and beverage, and assist with any other guest needs.

  • Assist the Head of Golf and the Assistant Professional in daily shop activities, maintain a clean and friendly golf shop, and direct the outside services staff as needed.

  • Responsible for inventory management.

  • Opening and closing procedures.

  • Help with putting out and displaying merchandise as it arrives and making sure all items are priced correctly.

  • Assisting with Golf Tournaments from prepping and assigning carts, registering players, monitoring pace of play, and posting scores.

Qualifications

  • Basic Math skills as they apply to cash handling

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Prior POS experience preferred

  • Serv-Safe and TIPS certification, preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. On occasion bend, crouch and stretch when needed. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The position is indoors; and is exposed to hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
