To get the golfer out on the course and then monitoring their play

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of golf carts.

  • Direct guest into Pro Shop to set up tee times and pay for golf.

  • Check to see that all players have own golf bags and clubs.

  • Check in and out golf carts making sure each cart has only 2 riders.

  • Assist in loading clubs on and off of cart.

  • Inform each group 15 minutes in advance as to when they are up.

  • Record stat times and cart numbers for golf groups using daily ranger reports.

  • Monitor and regulate golfers in accordance with rules and regulations.

  • Drive cart through course to oversee play and enforce yellow line rule.

  • Communicate pace of golf play to professional staff and starter.

  • Regulate pace of golf, insuring no group exceeds 2hrs., 15. min. for 9 holes and 4 hrs., 30 min. for 18 holes.

  • Apply sand and seed mix to repair divots on bent grass tee daily.

  • Help to setup in morning by assisting Starter and Cart Attendant.

  • Repair ball marks on all putting surfaces an needed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager of Golf Operations and/or Golf Shop Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous golf experience preferred, but not necessary

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

The position is indoors and outdoors; and is exposed to wet, hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
