Responsible for keeping the Marina, harbor, beach and piers, and all other lake front areas clean and hazard free.

  • Manually collect weeds, and dispose of debris in the harbor, on the beach, and along the shoreline.

  • Rake the whole beach daily to provide a guest friendly recreation area.

  • Clean and maintain all piers daily from the Lake House to the Marina to keep them tidy and hazard free.

  • Assist and/or operate the weed harvester picking up and cutting weeds and debris in the marina harbor and out on the lake around the piers and shoreline as needed.

  • Load the harvested weeds onto a trailer and dispose of them at the determined sight.

  • Fill up the weed cutter with gasoline and check the motor daily as needed.

  • Change the hydraulic fluid in the weed cutter as needed.

  • Lubricate the weed cutter and trailer as needed.

  • Maintain a running record of weed loads removed from the lake and fuel used in the weed cutter and truck.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Resort Grounds Manager and/or Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior boating experience preferred with loading and unloading a boat

  • Valid Driver's License

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The position is outdoors; and is exposed to wet, hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet/standing.
