Assisting Ass’t Watersports Manager and/or Supervisor with day to day operations of the Rental Operation while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.

  • Fill the rental boats with gas and shuttle them from the Marina to the Rental Center.
  • Maintain the rental building, piers and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Operate the cash register and collect fees associated with the rental operation.
  • Respond to customer requests, inquiries and assist them whenever possible.
  • Instruct customers as to the proper operation of the equipment being rented.
  • Help with Non-motorized rentals as needed.
  • Monitor the rentals while out on the lake to insure that they are on time.
  • Represent Lake Lawn Resort in a positive manner at all times, helping resort guests and customers with any request or inquiry.
  • Assist with seaweed removal from the harbor and from the rental area.
  • Operate credit card machines and know the proper procedures for opening and closing the rental operation each day.
  • Employee must be able to explain all rental forms and be able to instruct renters on the safe operation of all equipment.
  • Assist guests and renters with issues that may arise when in the building and/or on the piers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Marina Manager, Ass’t Watersports Mgr. and/or Watersports Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Prior boating experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Must be comfortable swimming, able to swim 100yds without use of flotation device
  • Valid Driver's License

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. On occasion, climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The position is indoors and outdoors; and is exposed to wet, hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
