Job Description
Pay is based on experience. The commission will be based on what is booked.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for meeting and event spaces at the hotel.
- Identify and target potential clients for meetings, conferences, weddings, banquets, and other events. - Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding planners, and other key stakeholders in the events industry.
- Conduct site visits and showings to showcase meeting and event spaces to potential clients. - Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing for events and meetings. - Coordinate with other hotel departments such as catering, banquets, and operations to ensure seamless execution of events. - Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favorable for both parties. - Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns to drive event bookings.
-Detail/Execute bookings done by the Sales Team.
- Track sales performance, prepare sales reports, and provide regular updates to the hotel management team.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel's meeting and event spaces.
-Work closely with the General Manager and Food and Beverage Coordinator to make sure that products and equipment are up to par to execute the events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry, with a focus on meetings and events. - Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
